Janeen Mollenhauer, M.S., LCPC, first joined Mennonite College of Nursing in 1997 as the coordinator for student development.  Over the past two decades she assumed hybrid roles of therapist, instructor, academic advisor, and assistant dean.

On July 1, 2017, she assumed the new role of associate dean for academic support at Illinois State University Mennonite College of Nursing, ensuring that effective processes are in place to recruit, admit, and retain exceptional nursing students, while providing administrative leadership for all non-academic operations of the college.

As an alum of Illinois State’s Clinical Psychology Master’s Program and as a licensed clinical professional counselor, Mollenhauer is passionate about the relevance of emotional intelligence to professional satisfaction.  She enjoys sharing this topic as a guest lecturer for nursing students in their leadership course.
