Timothy Harris has joined Illinois State University in the Department of Economics as an assistant professor. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Kentucky in 2017. His research interests include applied microeconomics, public economics, and behavioral economics.

Harris’ work has been published or is forthcoming in Economic Inquiry, Economics Letters, Contemporary Economic Policy, and Applied Economics. His current work focuses on adverse selection in life insurance markets and the influence of racial climate on homeownership. He has taught courses in public economics, intermediate microeconomics, corporate finance, and principles of economics.

His personal hobbies include basketball, hiking with his family, and carpentry.
