Denise Wilson, Ph.D., APN, CNP, CDE, has been named associate dean for academics for Illinois State University Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN).

Wilson joined MCN in 1980, and while at Illinois State has served as graduate faculty, graduate program director, and most recently as leader of the Family Nurse Practitioner Sequence and the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

She is an advanced practice nurse, a certified family and gerontological nurse practitioner and a certified diabetes educator. She is also the project director for the $1.4 million Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW) grant recently received from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
