Each October the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access (OEOA) provides online training for faculty, staff, and student employees.

In accordance with the Illinois Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act, all Illinois State University faculty, staff, and student employees are required to complete the Crime Reporting Training (CRT) within 30 days of hire and annually during the month of October. The training has been updated to reflect changes in law and policy, so even those who recently completed the training as a new hire must still complete the annual CRT in October. Employees on an approved continuous medical leave during the month of October may complete the annual training upon return to work.

The 2017-2018 Crime Reporting Training can be accessed through My Illinois State. Participants will be required to sign in with their ULID and password via Central Login.  Once logged in, they should be taken directly to the Training.  Please note that the CRT does not save progress, meaning one cannot exit and return to the same spot within the Training module.  As such, participants will need to complete the training during the same session.

Annual Crime Reporting Training must be completed by October 31. Failure to complete the CRT by the due date will result in the notification of lack of compliance to your supervisor and may lead to disciplinary action.

If you have any questions regarding the Training content or completion, please contact Ashley Pritts, Administrative Aide and Crime Reporting Training Coordinator, OEOA, at CrimeReportingTraining@IllinoisState.edu or 438-3383.
