The Department of Psychology will present a talk titled “The Value of a Degree in Psychology” with Christy England ’94, M.S. ’00, Ph.D. ’06, at 2:45 p.m. Friday, October 20, in 551 DeGarmo Hall. England is the recipient of the Department of Psychology’s 2017 Alumna of the Year: Lifetime Achievement Award.

England received her degrees from Illinois State University (B.S. in psychology, M.S. in experimental psychology, and Ph.D. in higher education administration). She is the proud mother of Miranda, a precocious third grader. Currently, England is the associate vice chancellor for academic research and policy at the State University System of Florida. She has worked for state and system higher education entities in Illinois, Washington, and New York

England will be recognized at the Department of Psychology annual awards ceremony and at the department’s Alumni Day Dinner, which will take place October 20 at Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano.
