Illinois State University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Cultural Dinner scheduled for Friday, January 26, is sold out.

Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch will be the featured speaker at Illinois State University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Cultural Dinner on Friday, January 26, in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center.

Lynch was sworn in as attorney general in April 2015, during the presidency of Barack Obama. Prior to that she led the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn, New York, and also served in private law practice. She holds a degree from Harvard College and a juris doctor from Harvard Law School. During her time as attorney general, Lynch focused on improving relationships between law enforcement and communities, transgender rights, and criminal justice reform.

This event is presented by the Office of the President, University Housing Services, ISU Student Chapter of NAACP, and the Association of Residence Halls.
