James Applegate, Center for the Study of Education Policy, has been given the Leadership Recognition Award by the Illinois Association for Institutional Research. The award honors Applegate’s work to move higher education forward during difficult times.

Jean Miller, Fine Arts, was elected to the International Council of Fine Arts Deans Executive Board.

Presentations
David Cleeton, ECO, presented at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, France.

Ali Riaz, POL, presented the keynote paper “Politics of Bangladesh, Rising Middle Class and a Few Questions” at a seminar organized by the Centre for Governance Studies at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies.

T.Y. Wang, POL, presented “Taiwan Citizens’ Opinions over the Troubled Water” at Triangular Relations by Decade’s End: Taiwan, China and the United States at the University of St. Thomas.
