Presentations and Exhibitions
Thomas Fuller, HSC, gave two presentations for the Wits School of Public Health and the South African Society of Occupational Medicine, titled “Global issues in occupational safety and health” and “Innovations in industrial hygiene approaches to infection control.”

Kendra Paitz, ART, curated an exhibition of New York-based artist Carrie Schneider’s Reading Women for Unscripted Bal Harbour in Miami. The exhibition and programming are presented through partnerships between Unscripted Bal Harbour, University Galleries of Illinois State University, Miami Book Fair, and Pérez Art Museum Miami.

Ali Riaz, POL, delivered a lecture at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) at Dhaka titled “Pathways of Militants: Evidence from Bangladesh.” The event was organized by the Center for Enterprise and Society of the ULAB.

Scott Jordan, PYS, co-authored “Multi-Scale Contingencies During Individual and Joint Action” for Topics in Cognitive Science. He also authored “Wild Anticipation: On the Evolution of Meaning” for the Handbook of Anticipation.

Susan Kim, ENG, co-authored the chapter “Keeping History: Images, Texts, Ciphers, and the Franks Casket” for the book, A Material History of Medieval and Early Modern Ciphers: Cryptography and the History of Literacy (Routledge).

Margaret Nauta, PSY, co-authored “How Do Coworkers ‘Make the Place’? Examining Coworker Conflict and the Value of Harmony in China and the United States: Coworker Conflict and Harmony in China and the U.S.” in Applied Psychology.

Honors
Bill Anderson, FCS, is the latest recipient of the Teacher of Honor Award from Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education.

Shelley Clevenger, CJS, was honored with the Feminist Criminology Article of the Year Award for her research article about mothers of sexual assault survivors.
