James Applegate of the Center for the Study of Education Policy has been asked by Western Governors University to join a group of national thought leaders on January 8 to envision the future of teacher preparation. In 2017 WGU’s teacher preparation program was ranked among the top 1 percent among thousands of rated programs by the National Council on Teacher Quality.

Upon acceptance to the event, WGU responded “Thank you so much for your willingness to participate in the ‘dreaming’ of WGU Teachers College. Your experience and insight will help to shape the next steps in educator preparation and we look forward to working with you.  The WGU Teachers College is bringing together a select group of individuals from both inside WGU and the greater education community to envision the future state of teacher preparation.”
