Honors
Illinois State’s Physics Teacher Education Program once again earned the 5+ Award from the American Institute of Physics (AIP) as one of the largest PTE programs in the nation.

Katie Sampeck, ANT, has been named the incoming editor of the journal Historical Archaeology, which is the flagship journal for the discipline. She is the first female editor of the journal in its 50-year history.

Dan Lanin, PSY, recently co-authored three articles: “The Importance of Counseling Self-efficacy: Physiologic Stress in Student Helpers” for the Journal of Student Psychotherapy, “Explaining Gender Differences in Interests: The Roles of Instrumentality and Expressiveness” for the Journal of Career Assessment, and “Self-Compassion Moderates the Relationship of Perceived Public and Anticipated Self-Stigma of Seeking Help” for Stigma and Health.

Logan Miller, ANT, published “Hopewell Bladelets: A Bayesian Radiocarbon Analysis” in American Antiquity.

Roberta Seelinger Trites, MQM, published “Material Feminism, Adolescent ‘Becoming,’ and Libba Bray’s Beauty Queens” for the Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature and “Cognitive Narratology and Adolescent Fiction” for The Edinburgh Companion to Children’s Literature.
