Artist-in-residence Lee Hunter will give a lecture at the University Galleries as part of the Visiting Artist Program. The event will be from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at the University Galleries in Uptown Circle. The event is free and open to the public.

artwork of rectangles and squares painted in soft colors Hunter, who is from Charleston, South Carolina, is a multi-disciplinary artist working with photography, sculpture, and video. She received a master’s degree in fine arts from San Francisco Art Institute, and a Bachelor of Science from Portland State University. Her interest areas include the built environment, landscape, and perception. Several of Hunter’s works have been exhibited at artist run galleries and non-profit art spaces such as Comfort Station, Vox Populi Gallery, The Luminary, and The Franklin.

Hunter, who currently lives and works in New York City, has attended a number of artist-in-residence programs including Summer Forum, ACRE, The Vermont Studio Center, and I-Park Foundation among others.
