Professor Julie Webber was recently featured on NPR Illinois, The 21st Show to discuss student protests in Illinois.  The February 21st protests involved walk outs by Illinois students demanding “stricter gun control legislation following a mass shooting in Florida.”

Webber remarked that “Students feel like no one is running the show. They must step up and do it themselves.”  The article notes that another protest is planned on March 14.

Webber has published two books on school violence. Her most recent book is Beyond Columbine: School Violence and the Virtual.
