Redbird softball and baseball have started their seasons swinging. Softball opened its season February 8 with a tournament at USF while baseball got on the road February 16 for a series at Arkansas State.

Both teams will begin play at home in late March. Baseball will return to the mound on Duffy Bass Field on March 20 when they host Illinois for a midweek matchup and then Creighton for a weekend series March 23-25. Softball steps in the circle at Marian Kneer Stadium for the first time March 30 to host Indiana State for the weekend, followed by a midweek matchup against Illinois on April 4.

Admission is free for all at both Marian Kneer Stadium and Duffy Bass Field. Redbird softball will play 10 games at Marian Kneer and ISU baseball is set for 18 games at the Duff. Both teams are coming off successful 2017 seasons as Redbird baseball reached the MVC Tournament title game against Dallas Baptist and ISU softball split the regular-season title with UNI and hosted the first round NISC, where they clinched the regional title.
