EAF on the Red Carpet event set for May 5

The Department of Educational Administration and Foundations (EAF) is hosting the third annual EAF on the Red Carpet Spring Gala on Saturday, May 5, at 5:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington.

The formal affair honors and celebrates its students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of research, service, and scholarship.

“The purpose of the event is to lift up the EAF’s family of outstanding educational leaders who put the needs of P–20 learners first,” said Lenford Sutton, the department’s chair. “For the past two years we’ve had an opportunity to meet with many of our dynamic, dedicated, and innovative alumni and students to show them what their work means to us and the entire university.”

Sutton invites all friends, alumni, students, faculty, and staff of the University who support the work of the department to attend and enjoy in a night of celebration. Tickets cost $50 each. Attendees can also reserve a table for 10 guests for $500.

2018 award recipients in six categories will be recognized at the event. The following education professionals received awards at the event in 2016 and 2017.
