There will be a screening of NO! The Rape Documentary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in Illinois State University’s Center for the Visual Arts, room 151. The event is free and open to the public.

NO! The Rape Documentary is the 2006 award-winning, internationally acclaimed film that explores the international atrocity of heterosexual rape and other forms of sexual assault through the first-person testimonies, scholarship, spirituality, activism, and cultural work of black people in the United States.

The documentary has received several national and international awards from the Pan African Film Festival, the San Diego Women Film Festival, and the International Women’s Film Festival. It has been screened and distributed at film festivals, colleges, universities, high schools, correctional facilities, rape crisis centers, battered women’s shelters, and conferences across the globe.
