After much deliberation, a winner for the Illinois Design Educators Association (IDEA) logo competition has been determined. The winner is Matt Patenaude, a sophomore graphic communications student. Matt will be recognized with a $250.00 gift certificate during the IDEA members luncheon meeting at the IDEA State Competition on April 14 at 11:30 a.m.

His logo, as modified by the IDEA Board of Directors will be distributed on medals awarded to participants achieving first, second, and third place in each of the competition categories. This logo will also be displayed on the association website, and used for apparel that will be worn by IDEA Board Members, and available for purchase by attending members. Matt’s concept will become part of the next chapter in IDEA history. Congratulations to Matt for his achievement and help in moving the Illinois Design Educators Association forward for the future generations.
