Distinguished alumnus, Adam Ghrist, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2004, has just received a U.S. Department of Justice appointment as assistant U.S. attorney in Illinois. In this highly competitive and sought after legal position, Ghrist will prosecute federal criminal offenses, including organized crime, narcotics and cybersecurity, to name a few areas of jurisdiction.

Ghrist, who currently works as first assistant state’s attorney in McLean County, describes attaining the new position as part of his lifelong dream.
