Do your part this Earth Day by joining in on the 6th annual Water Bottle Swap. Last year, Americans used about 40 billion plastic water bottles and only 23 percent of those bottles made it into a recycling bin. Join Campus Recreation, the Office of Sustainability and University Recycling in helping save the planet, one plastic bottle at a time.

Due to Earth Day falling on a Sunday, this event will be held at the Quad at noon, Monday April 23. Come on by and exchange your non-reusable plastic bottle for a #Recbird Camelbak. There is a limit of one Camelbak per person, so show up early to make sure to secure your spot in line because supplies are limited. All collected plastic bottles will be recycled.

“This event helps bring awareness to the excessive waste caused by non-reusable water bottles. We hope by providing ISU students with re-usable, quality Camelbaks we will inspire them to choose to reuse.” says Associate Director Mike Bastian.
