Did you go on an Alternative Breaks (AB) trip when you were a student? Do you remember the impact you made on a community, the fun you had, and the relationships you formed? Why not experience that again as an alum?

Alternative Breaks alums and any alumni interested in civic engagement are invited to return to Bloomington-Normal and Illinois State University June 29-July 1 for our first Alternative Breaks Alumni Trip.

Annie Weaver, coordinator of student volunteer opportunities in the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning shared, “We are excited to bring alumni home to Bloomington-Normal to give back to the campus community. It is important for us to be active citizens in our communities; to come back home to be reminded of our commitment just makes it that much more special!”

Reconnect with Illinois State and AB with a weekend of fun and community service at the West Bloomington Revitalization Project. Visit the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning’s website for the full itinerary and register to participate in any or all of the activities that fit your schedule.
