Honors
Sue Franzen, Milner Library, was a part of the inaugural Elevate Illinois Library Leadership Program, a statewide library initiative to recruit and nurture future Illinois library leaders.

Kathy Scott, AGR, was a nominee for the McLean County Chamber of Commerce’s honor of top administrative professional.

Presentations and Exhibits
Kendra Paitz, University Galleries, curated a project called Azimuth at The Franklin, an outdoor alternative art space in Chicago. The project was created by School of Art alumna Gina Hunt ’15. She also published “To Occupy the Space of One’s Habitat,” a conversation with artist Edra Soto. The work was published in English and Spanish, in conjunction with Out of Easy Reach, an exhibition currently on view at the DePaul Art Museum, Chicago.

T.Y. Wang, POL, presented “The Taiwan Voter: Political Cleavage and Electoral Decisions” to the University of Nottingham and the School of Oriental and African Studies of University of London.

Performances
Kevin Hart, MUS, and the Vibe Tribe were featured at the Central Illinois Jazz Society’s concert at the Trailside Event Center in Peoria Heights. The Vibe Tribe also performed at Parkland College’s Gallery Lounge in Champaign.

Publications
Daniel Lannin, PSY, co-authored “Do Self-Compassion and Self-Coldness Distinctly Relate to Distress and Well-Being? A Theoretical Model of Self-Relating” in the Journal of Counseling Psychology from the American Psychological Association. He also co-authored “Setting the Stage: The Effect of Affirming Personal Values Before Psychotherapy Intake Screenings on Perceptions of Self-Stigma and Self-Disclosure” for Stigma and Health.
