The 2018 Concerts on the Quad series concludes on July 30 with Singing Under the Stars, led by Tom Studebaker.

Join Illinois State University faculty and guests as they sing favorites from the operatic and Broadway stages in this annual favorite tradition of the series.

Music from Broadway holds a special place in many people’s hearts. It is inspirational, moving, and tells a great story in the form of a song. Broadway music can bring back memories of high school musicals or going to see a favorite show on a Broadway stage for many. For these reasons Singing Under the Starts will be a great close to this summer’s concerts on the quad.

The concert begins at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public, and takes place on the east side of Cook Hall (the Castle) on the Illinois State University Quad. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

The Concerts on the Quad series is presented by the Illinois State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music and in conjunction with the Illinois Shakespeare Festival and The Pantagraph, and is sponsored by the Mirza Fund of the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, Fell Trust, the Town of Normal Harmon Arts Grant Program and Debbie and Terry Lindberg.
