Philanthropy Rising: How BCA is making a student impact
Illinois State University Black Colleagues Association’s (BCA) top priority is to ensure the next generation of Redbirds leaves campus with the best experiences possible. This holds especially true as we takes part Redbirds Rising: The Campaign for Illinois State. How is this done?
We not only help recruit new ISU students, but are present to be a familiar face along the way as students adjust to campus and find their way. Also, we support students in the transition to becoming graduates and joining the band of over 210,000 living alumni. Perhaps the most important part of BCA’s mission is to support current students financially through scholarship programs funded by alumni and campus partners.
Six scholarships are annually awarded by BCA to assist students with college expenses, with a total of 16 scholarship recipients for 2017-18 academic year. Their stories are real, and their gratitude for alumni support is as well. See exactly how much by hearing from several of the current recipients in special thank you messages below.
Visit the BCA page to make a gift to the Illinois State University Black Colleagues Association. Your gift—regardless of size—will help students pursue their passion at Illinois State and prepare for their future. BCA thanks all its alumni for their gifts, their encouragement, and most importantly their dedication to furthering the mission of the Black Colleagues Association.
