In the video, Isaac Castillo, current director of outcomes and learning at Venture Philanthropy Partners, explains how he used the power of data, evidence, and evaluation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of programs during his time as the director of learning and evaluation at the Latin American Youth Center.

Wednesday, August 15, 2018, 1–2 p.m. Did you know that the latest federal education legislation includes several funding streams that could pay for on-site coordinators? Did you know other education, human services and related federal funding streams and programs can be leveraged to strengthen your community school? Did you know that states are holding schools accountable for factors on which community schools have a direct impact? Participants will leave this workshop with the knowledge and tools needed to partner with their schools and school districts and community-based organizations to take advantage of a variety of federal opportunities to sustain and grow community schools.
