The Department of Agriculture at Illinois State is getting ready to host our annual agriculture career fair, sponsored by the ISU National Agri-Marketing Association. The career fair will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. September 18, in Redbird Arena. All students are welcome to attend this career fair, just keep in mind of the mandatory dress code of business professional for the event. Use this opportunity to dress your best because there will be a photographer on site to take professional headshots for free!

Agriculture companies from around the nation come to recruit our students for a variety of internships and full-time jobs ranging from accounting, to seed sales, to human resource and marketing positions. In 2017, 50 companies were in attendance, and this year there will be even more than that. Students, be sure to come prepared; bring resumes, business cards and research the companies in attendance before going. Many students will walk out of the career fair with interviews lined up, and some companies conduct interviews on site that same day.

This is a great professional development opportunity for any student, as you will get to connect face to face with recruiters and can practice those valuable skills for future career fairs and other professional opportunities.
