The Illinois State University Friends of the Arts (FOA) invite you to join alumni, friends, family, and community members at 7 p.m. Friday, December 7, in the Illinois State University Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall for a Messiah sing-along fundraiser.

Come to sing or just to listen and enjoy. The program will consist of the Christmas portion of Messiah plus the “Hallelujah” chorus. FOA has assembled a small orchestra and soloists who will help enrich the experience, and Karyl Carlson, director of choral activities, will conduct.

Soloists include Illinois State University School of Music alumni Audrey Vallance ’78, M.M. ’79, soprano; Rebecca Crumrine, M.M. ’16, mezzo soprano; Jason Morgan’92, tenor; and Mark Gilgallon ’90, M.M. ’93, bass.

The event is free and open for all to participate or attend to listen. Free-will donations of cash or check will be accepted at the door, or you can donate online via the secure Illinois State University Foundation website. Please note “Messiah sing-along” under the Gift Notes section for donations related to this event. Donations will be used to provide Friends of the Arts scholarships and grants for Illinois State University College of Fine Arts students.

If you plan to sing, visit FOA.IllinoisState.edu to sign up to participate. Bring your own score or download a PDF of the choruses from the FOA website.
