The Illinois State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music invite you to Music for the Holidays. There are three opportunities to experience this annual favorite: Saturday, December 1 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m. All concerts will take place in the Center for the Performing Arts (CPA) Concert Hall. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors.

Over 350 performers from the ISU Symphony Orchestra, Horn Choir, Combined Choirs, Organ, String Project, and Madrigal Singers ensembles will perform during the concerts.

This year’s Music for the Holidays will include orchestra favorites such as Sleigh Ride and Hanukkah Festival Overture and choir performances of Salvation is Created and Ave Generosa. The concerts will also feature the Madrigal Singers who will perform their popular arrangements of Angels We Have Heard On High and O Magnum Mysterium.

To end the concert, the audience is invited to participate in a festive carol sing-a-long with the orchestra and combined choirs.

Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for the Midwest Food Bank in the CPA Lobby, which is decorated for the holidays.
