The Illinois State volleyball team has earned an at-large bid to the program’s second NCAA Tournament in five seasons, and first under the direction of second-year head coach Leah Johnson. The selection marks the Redbirds’ 14th overall appearance to the dance, capitalizing on a 25-7 overall record and share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title to continue its memorable 2018 campaign.

The Redbirds will begin tournament play against Cincinnati Friday, November 30, at 4:30 p.m. The other portion of the four-team regional in Milwaukee features the No. 14 national seed and host Marquette, which will follow at 7 p.m. against High Point. The winners will play Saturday, December 1, and the champion of the four-team subregional advances to the third and fourth rounds December 7–8 at a site to be determined.
