Astroth also co-authored “Exploring the Evidence. Focusing on the Fundamentals: Reading Qualitative Research with a Critical Eye” for the Nephrology Nursing Journal.

Eirin Sullivan, CHE, co-authored “A Biomimetic Cellulose-Based Composite Material that Incorporates the Antimicrobial Metal-Organic Framework HKUST-1” for the Journal of Applied Polymer Science.

Presentations
Jeremy Driskell, Christopher Mulligan, and Jun-Hyun Kim, CHE, presented “Coupling SERS and ambient ionization mass spectrometry with plasmonic paper for on-site, trace analysis of illicit drugs” at SciX 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia, with graduate students William Fatigante, John Harms, and Daniel Burr. Driskell also presented “An Analytical Strategy to Evaluate and Optimize Antibody-Gold Nanoparticle Conjugation Chemistry” with undergraduate student Guadalupe Ruiz and graduate student Kiran Tripathi.

Ali Riaz, POL, presented “Understanding the Radicalization of the Bangladeshi Society and Politics” at the annual Seminar of the South Asia Observatory of the Network of Researchers in International Affairs (NORIA) in Paris, France.

Anne Shelley, Milner, presented “One Year Later: A Librarian Promoting Open Educational Resources” at the EDUCAUSE Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado. She also presented “Promoting College of Fine Arts Works Through the Institutional Repository” at the Midwest Chapter of the Music Library Association in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and co-refereed “Open Illinois: Supporting Open Educational Resources as a Consortium” at the Open Education Southern Symposium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
