Amanda Cullen, Craig Cullen, and Jeffrey Barrett, MAT, were three of the co-authors on “Effects of Three Interventions on Children’s Spatial Structuring and Coordination of Area Units,” for the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education.

Cindy Kerber, Sheryl Jenkins, and Kim Astroth Schafer, MCN, were co-authors for “A Narrative Analysis of Sibling Grief” in the Journal of Loss & Trauma. The three also joined Wendy Woith for the article “A qualitative exploration of nursing students’ perceptions of the homeless and their care experiences,” appearing in Nursing Forum.

Susan Hildebrandt, LAN, co-authored “Bringing the teacher shortage in world language education into focus” for The Language Educator. She also co-edited Researching edTPA Promises and Problems: Perspectives from English as an Additional Language, English Language Arts, and World Language Teacher Education.

Presentations
Susan Burt, ENG, organized and presented a panel titled “Heart Art: What Makes Illustrations Resonate?” at the conference Synergy and Contradiction: How Picturebooks and Picture Books Work at Cambridge University.

Julie Murphy, Anne Shelley, and Paul Unsbee, Milner, presented “Using Design Thinking – Do we really want a makerspace” at the 2018 Library and Information Technology Association Forum in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Chad Kahl, Milner, contributed to the presentation.

Kendra Paitz, University Galleries, held a public conversation with artist Bill Conger, an MFA alumnus from the School of Art, at Goldfinch Gallery, Chicago, in conjunction with his solo exhibition.
