For these Redbirds, the future is bright! Read on to learn how these four students have benefitted from donor-supported scholarships.

Student Andrew Brodbeck

Andrew Brodbeck is a special education major and recipient of the Kelley Dennis Scholarship who believes in giving back. Brodbeck says, “My hometown has given me so much, so I want to go back after graduating and give back with what I can. That could be in the classroom as a special education teacher, at my church, or volunteering in the community!”

Student Haley Duden

Haley Duden is taking the world by storm. A business administration major, Duden recently interned with a startup company to develop its mobile app, brand awareness, and social media content. Duden credits the William J. Motchar Endowed Scholarship she received for giving her increased time to devote to her college career: “The experiences I’ve had and time for school work has helped me reach my full potential.”

Student Angelina Hernandez

Our students come from all different walks of life. Meet Angelina Hernandez. Hernandez is a commuter student who is busy pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and is kept even busier as a mother of four! The recipient of the Ana Maria F. Parent Scholarship, Hernandez is focused on her studies and being a great mom.

Student Caleb Bent

Music education and voice performance major Caleb Bent received the John Ferrell Endowed Scholarship for Madrigal Singers. “When I received this scholarship, I knew I would be able to graduate and pursue a master’s of music in performance,” said Bent. “Thanks to the help of donors, I was also able to tour with the ISU Concert Choir in Prague, Salzburg, and Venice. It was the first time I have ever flown and ended up being an experience that changed my life forever. I want my donors to know how truly grateful I am for their generosity.
