CO Sees Major Increase in College Applications Following Colorado Free Application Day  All public colleges and universities in the state, plus several private institutions, waived their application fees on Oct. 30 and in total, received 22,294 applications, according to the Colorado Department of Higher Education. VA House Speaker Introduces Higher Education Partnership Bill  New House Speaker Kirk Cox wants to grant public colleges and universities the ability to propose partnership agreements with the Commonwealth of Virginia meant to foster growth, make college more affordable, improve college access and increase the talent pipeline.
