Honors
Debbie Aurelius-Muir, MUS, received a Certificate of Outstanding Service in recognition of 25 years of music teaching at the Illinois Music Education Association 2019 Illinois Music Education Conference.

Tom Fuller, HSC, has been selected to receive the Distinguished Service to AIHA Award from the American Industrial Hygiene Association. Fuller will be officially recognized at the AIHA meeting in May in Minneapolis.

Ui­-Jeen Yu, FCS, will receive the Family & Consumer Sciences Research Journal Best Paper Award for “Effects of Self-Discrepancy and Self-Schema on Young Women’s Body Image and Self-Esteem after Media Image Exposure” in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising for 2018. The award will be presented at the Annual Conference of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Catherine O’Reilly, GEO, co-authored the paper “Widespread loss of lake ice around the Northern Hemisphere in a warming world” in Nature Climate Change.

Sally Parry, ENG, published “Iron George: Myths of Masculinity in Sinclair Lewis’s Babbitt and Mantrap” in Pieces of the Heartland: Representing Midwestern Places. (Hastings College).

Performances
David Collier, MUS, performed as timpanist with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra on January 19 and with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra on January 25 and 26.
