Illinois State University moved up in the rankings for U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 edition of the Best Graduate Schools rankings.

Illinois State demonstrated its level of excellence for its graduate programs in the College of Education, its part-time MBA program in the College of Business, and its master’s degree programs in Mennonite College of Nursing.

The College of Education ranked 88th in the U.S. News & World Report 2020 Best Graduate Schools rankings compared to 108th in the 2019 rankings. The College of Business part-time MBA program ranked 89th in the 2020 rankings compared to 92nd in 2019. Mennonite College of Nursing ranked 90th in the U.S. News & World Report 2020 Best Graduate Schools Master’s rankings in Nursing, compared to 98th in the 2019 rankings.

“These rankings reinforce the high-quality degree programs Illinois State offers our students,” said Vice President and Provost Jan Murphy. “By recruiting outstanding faculty members, ISU continues to create a strong academic environment for our students.”

U.S. News ranks programs based on expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research, and students. The data come from statistical surveys sent to administrators at more than 2,012 graduate programs and from reputation surveys sent to more than 20,500 academics and professionals in the disciplines.
