Illinois State University’s chapter of the American Democracy Project (ADP) is holding the Civic Engagement Celebration on Tuesday, April 30, in the Circus Room of the Bone Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The celebration will entail a showcase of the civic engagement and responsibility minor (CE&R) with a discussion of internship experiences from CE&R minor students from 1-2 p.m. The award ceremony for the Civic Engagement Awards will follow from 2:30-4:30 p.m. The awards will recognize people and organizations for their outstanding contributions to civic engagement.

The ADP is a cooperative effort by students, faculty, staff, and administration to promote civic engagement on the part of students both now and in the future.

The Civic Engagement Awards include: the RSO Award, Unit Award, Faculty Citizenship Award, Student Citizenship Award, Staff Citizenship Award, and the Community Partner Award.
