Joanne Savage

Joanne Savage, associate professor of criminal justice sciences at Illinois State University, will give a talk on her research into the differences between juvenile detention programs in Japan and America at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in Stevenson Hall, room 136B.

Savage’s work explores the causes of violent crime, including issues during development such as parental attachment, academic achievement, and abuse. She also examines the impact of violent media and its impact on the rate of violent crimes.

This event is free and open to all faculty, staff, annuitants, and ISU community. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
