Mary Ryder and Ginny Schmult will give a presentation describing the unique local service organization, Books to Benefit, at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, at the University Club in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center.

Books to Benefit is a nonprofit organization in Bloomington-Normal that works to support literacy in the community. Volunteers collect books from spring cleaning, downsizing, garage sale leftovers, and conduct book sales in June and November. The proceeds of these book sales benefit local literacy programs.

All faculty, staff, annuitants, and ISU community members are welcome to attend the University Club from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center. The campus community is invited.

Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found at the U-Club website. Continued program support is provided by ISU’s Office of the Provost and the Office of the President.
