As part of Illinois State University’s ongoing preparedness efforts, an emergency drill will be held on Tuesday, June 18, to test the ability of Student Health Services and its medical partners to respond to and begin treatment for injuries that students, faculty, staff, and visitors may receive during a tornado event.

The exercise will take place in the Student Services Building from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will include staff from Student Health Services, Redbird EMS, athletic trainers, faculty and students from Mennonite College of Nursing, the Normal Fire Department, and people role-playing as University faculty, staff, and students. One emergency vehicle will be parked near the building during the exercise and some role-players will be in stage make-up to simulate injuries.

Large signs will be placed around the Student Services Building to inform people near the building that the drill is taking place.
