The next update to ReggieNet has been given the green light. Teams in Administrative Technologies and the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology finalizing preparations to install it. Illinois State’s customized learning management system will be taken offline on Thursday, July 25, for this important system update. Students and instructors should plan for the system to be offline all day.

Because classes are taught almost entirely year-round at Illinois State, there is no ideal time to take the system offline. The July 25 date was chosen to cause the least disruption to student learning, faculty planning, and summer grade submission. Feedback about the timing of a similar update last summer was positive.

Improvements

There is no big visual change planned for the update, especially from the student perspective. Faculty will enjoy some new and improved tools, such as a new Rubrics feature and improved organization of the Tests & Quizzes tool. For more on the changes, instructors can visit the ReggieNet Instructor Support page or listen to this special episode of CTLT’s podcast, Let’s Talk Teaching.
