Coaching principals to develop their capacity as instructional leaders  

There is a new Teacher Quality Programs Technical Assistance (TQPTA) Center resource that focuses on how CSEP’s TEAM Lead grant is strengthening principals’ roles as instructional leaders through job-embedded coaching. The brief describes insights and lessons learned the TEAM Lead grant to provide job-embedded coaching to strengthen principals’ roles as instructional leaders. TEAM Lead is measuring the effectiveness of these approaches through a multi-year grant evaluation that will be reported on at the conclusion of the grant work. 

Several grantees funded by the U.S. Department of Education Effective Educator Development (EED), including the Center for the Study of Education Policy, are implementing micro-credentials to support educator development. The TQP Technical Assistance (TQPTA) Center brought these grantees together in-person and virtually through a community of practice. This brief supports grantees’ efforts to communicate the purpose, value, and potential of micro-credentials for educators. The second brief provides guidance on designing assessments for micro-credentials.
