Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality (EMDH) will add two retail dining venues to the Bone Student Center in spring 2020.

Timbers Grille will serve handcrafted burgers, crispy and grilled chicken, specialty fries, and garden salads, as well as hand-dipped milkshakes. The grille will also feature breakfast all day, a menu decision based on feedback gathered from a market research study completed prior to the start of the Bone Student Center revitalization.

Star Ginger, a Southeast Asian concept with multiple locations around the country, will provide Redbirds with a wide range of flavors carefully selected to meet the growing demand for authentic Pan-Asian dishes, such as Vietnamese pho, Thai chicken green curry, banh mi sandwiches, stir fry rice bowls, freshly chopped salads, Korean barbecue, and more. A variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. Star Ginger’s menu features recipes developed by award-winning chef and founder Mai Pham and focuses on small-batch cooking.

“Star Ginger is inspired by the street foods that I grew up with in Vietnam and Thailand. It’s fresh, Asian food-on-the-run. It’s delicious foods simply made but with beautiful fresh herbs, lovely spices, and big flavors,” said Pham.

Both restaurants will be located on the second floor of the building and will open as the third and final phase of the Bone Student Center Revitalization project concludes. Other new venues including The Landing, Starbucks, and Qdoba opened earlier in 2019.
