Dave Bentlin and Barb Dallinger

Illinois State alumni Dave Bentlin and Barb Dallinger, who both serve on the LGBTQ+ Support Fund Committee.

Dave Bentlin and Barb Dallinger will present the talk “Where do you turn when your family is no longer there for you?” at the University Club at 4:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center.

Marriage equality. An openly gay presidential candidate. All the signs seem to point toward equality for the LGBTQ+ population. Then why are our students continuing to lose the financial and emotional support of their families? Bentlin and Dallinger will speak on the LGBTQ+ Student Support Fund that provides emergency financial assistance for students who lose the financial support of their family due to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

All faculty, staff, annuitants, and ISU community members are welcome to attend the University Club from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center. The campus community is invited.

Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found at the U-Club website. Continued program support is provided by ISU’s Office of the Provost and the Office of the President.
