The Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS) program at Illinois State University will host Feminist Fridays in the WGS office on the second floor of Rachel Cooper Hall.

The  event aims to provide a space for critical conversations to continue outside the classroom. “Feminist Fridays will cultivate solidarity with Illinois State students, faculty, and staff who are members of multiple marginalized groups,” said Professor Tanya Diaz-Kozlowski, assistant director of the WGS program. She noted the aim is to “reclaim and re-imagine feminist consciousness raising in a public university, and challenge the pervasive neoliberal ethos of the corporate university that demands constant efficiency and productivity.”

Feminist Fridays will run from 1-3 p.m. in the WGS office on the following dates:

September 13
September 20
October 11
October 25
November 8
December 6
