Dallas Long, Milner Library, published the book Collaborations for Student Success:  How Librarians and Student Affairs Professionals Work Together to Enrich Student Learning (Rowman & Littlefield).

Timothy Lash and Gregory Ferrence, CHE, were two of the authors for “Metalation and methyl group migration in 21-, 22- and 23-methylcarbaporphyrins: synthesis and characterization of palladium(II), rhodium(I) and rhodium(III) derivatives” in Organometallics. They also worked together on “Rhodium complexes of carbaporphyrins, carbachlorins, adj-dicarbaporphyrins and an adj-dicarbachlorin” for Inorganic Chemistry. Lash also co-authored “Tropylium and porphyrinoid character in carbaporphyrinoid systems. Relative stability and aromatic characteristics of azuliporphyrin and tropiporphyrin tautomers, protonated species, and related structures” for the Journal of Physical Chemistry A.

Ali Riaz, POL, published a commentary in India’s Daily Star titled “Revoking Article 370: Why now?” about the ongoing crisis in the Indian administered state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Presentations
Lane Crothers, POL, presented “Fear and Loathing in the American Militia Movement: Identity Essentialism and the Politics of Anti-State Mobilization” at the States of Exception Conference at Brooklyn College.

Melissa Jarvill, MCN, was a co-presenter of “Developing an International Partnership to Promote Simulation Pedagogy,” at the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

Teresa Novy and Wendy Woith, MCN, co-presented “Standardizing Communication for Wound Care Patients during Discharge to Home Care” at the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society National Conference.

Kam Shapiro, POL, presented “Sensible Redistributions: Racial Justice and Aesthetic Activism in Chicago” at the American Political Science Association Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
