The College of Applied Science and Technology will be holding the second edition of CAST Connections, a networking event aimed at connecting students with alumni. Last year, over 90 students traveled to Chicago to meet with alums. Environmental health alum, Candra Jefferson, described the event as “a great opportunity for alumni to share their professional experiences with students looking to start their careers soon.” Students who attended had positive comments about their experiences. For criminal justice sciences major Zainab Durojaiye, “after hearing CJS alum Leah Walton’s story about how she became a federal probation officer, I promised myself to never pass up an opportunity, no matter what it is! Overall, this was a great event to have been a part of.” This year, the event is coming to Bloomington-Normal.

Welcoming CAST students and recent alumni, CAST Connections will be focused on networking, mentorship, critical thinking and problem-solving.
