The 2019 Washington, D.C., Civic Engagement Trip was a success.

The Department of Politics and Government students took private tours of the U.S. Supreme Court and the Library of Congress and were treated to a tour of the Capitol by Rep. Darin LaHood. In addition, meetings were held with numerous alumni, including Corine Weiler ’10, of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), and Alana McGinty ’10, of DAI.

The purpose of the trip is to connect students to the nation’s capital and build a network of contacts on Capitol Hill and various advocacy agencies and nonprofits in Washington, D.C.
