Justin Vickers, MUS, published the classical commercial solo recording “Caledonian Scenes: Songs of Judith Weir, Benjamin Britten & Hamish MacCunn” on the American/UK classical label, Albany Records. (TROY1800). The tenor is joined on the Scottish-themed album by pianists Gretchen Church (Illinois Wesleyan) and Geoffrey Duce, MUS.

Jessica Sciubba, LAN, published “Blurring Bodily Boundaries: On the Rione’s Abjective Agency in the Cycle of L’amica geniale” in Annali di italianistica.

Presentations
Susan Hildebrandt, SED, presented “edTPA 101” at the annual meeting of the Illinois Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages and “Teacher educators’ perceptions of the World Language edTPA” at the annual ACTFL convention.

Ali Riaz, POL, gave a talk on his recently published book, Voting in a Hybrid Regime: Explaining the 2018 Bangladeshi Election at the University of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur. At Universiti Brunei, Darussalam, Riaz also presented the paper “How a Hybrid Regime Emerges: Bangladesh as a Case Study” for the Economic Integration and Global Governance in Emerging Muslim Economies: Prospects and Challenges for D-8 Muslim Countries symposium.

Gavin Weiser, EAF, presented “It’s Time for Arts & Resistance! College-aged Artistic Activism” at the National Women’s Studies Association.
