Illinois State wants to herald the achievements of our students, especially in the face of these unprecedented times. Students who will graduate in the spring and summer of 2020 will have two opportunities to celebrate.

Illinois State University will award approximately 3,601 baccalaureate degrees and 726 graduate degrees. In lieu of the originally scheduled commencement ceremonies on May 8-9, Illinois State will present ceremonies online to recognize the achievements of the 2020 spring and summer graduates. The recorded ceremonies will be available on the Commencement website by May 7.

Included will be remarks by President Larry Dietz and other Illinois State officials. Students were offered the opportunity to submit photos for online recognition. In addition, each graduate will receive copies of a special Commencement program book, tassel, alumni keychain, and diploma cover by mail.

The University also wants to provide graduates the experience of walking across the stage. Therefore, spring and summer 2020 graduates are also invited back to campus to participate in person in the expanded winter commencement ceremonies scheduled for December 11-12, 2020.

More information is available on the Graduation Services website.
