Whether you are a current student, recent graduate, or a seasoned professional, navigating the myriad of decisions along your career journey can seem arduous.  During this uniquely difficult time it can seem as though these choices are even more challenging.

“I have worked with several students and alumni, who have concerns about navigating the current job market, and many who are concerned about the effect of the pandemic on the economy and the number of job and internship opportunities available to apply for,” said Mark Fauble, Career Services career advisor.  “However, candidates can be better positioned to successfully navigate this new job market if they have the right mind-set, materials, and preparation for a more virtual search and networking process.”

To help Redbirds achieve success with navigating virtual job markets, Career Services is hosting the LIVE Career Summer Series. Participants can ask questions, share their concerns, and get professional career assistance with a career advisor or graduate assistant. Sessions last 30–60 minutes each and are held live each week through the end of July.

The LIVE Career Summer Series sessions are as follows:

Zoom links are available within the session descriptions and on the Career Services website.

“Career Services wanted to adapt to the current environment and find a new way to connect with students and alumni. All are welcome to attend the sessions. Participants should expect an informal round-table format, as opposed to a presentation. This will be an open discussion, and is a great way to share information on specific career-related topics,” Fauble added.
