One student standing on another's shoulders next to a pile of laundry

Students tackle laundry at the residence halls.

Save your quarters!  Beginning in the fall 2020 semester, students will no longer pay to use washers and dryers as University Housing Services (UHS) will absorb the daily cost of residential laundry.

With no cost to using the machines, students are encouraged to do multiple loads of laundry to reduce the strain on overloaded machines. As a result, the department hopes to experience fewer laundry machine breakdowns due to overloads.

Speaking of machines, UHS is also excited to announce that there will be brand new washers and dryers in all residence halls and apartments. Our residential areas will receive a shipment of 140 washing machines and 188 dryers this summer, replacing the current models.
