Given the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the University has extended the distribution of paychecks via the United States Postal Service through the end of the 2020 calendar year. Paychecks will be mailed on payday to your current mailing address. Please allow sufficient time for delivery before contacting the University Payroll Office.

If receiving a physical check, please review and update, if necessary, your current mailing address. Instructions to change your mailing address may be found here.

To avoid potential delays in the delivery of payments, employees are encouraged to enroll in Direct Deposit.

Direct Deposit enrollments and mailing address changes will need to be completed by August 18, 2020, to be in effect for the August 31, 2020, payday.

Enrolling in Direct Deposit is as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Obtain your bank information
    • Bank routing and account number
  2. Enroll or update direct deposit by visiting My Illinois State
    • Click on the Pay & Benefits tab
    • Select Direct Deposit
    • Must be on campus or using ISU VPN
  3. Validate with the University Payroll Office
    • Call (309) 438-7677
